Happy Kentucky Oaks Day!

I'm reposting this from earlier for those that follow the horses. It's the Kentucky Oaks Day and we're here in Louisville reporting live and wild. This one goes out to the ladies.

"I like their lady horse swagger"

I love this line. Simply love it.

Enjoy the Derby festivities and thanks for sharing this poem. What fun.

I am still feeling the heart beat of this one. While reading, I felt the "take my shirt off" line undercut the power of the connection between the speaker and her vision of power but in truth the dangerous sex is present from the beginning, perhaps especially in the title. Pow! Thanks again for poetry that hits heart and mind so accurately!
